WASHINGTON, 08 APR - Circondato da operai del settore, Donald Trump ha firmato un ordine esecutivo alla Casa Bianca per espandere l'estrazione e l'uso del carbone in Usa, dopo aver fatto marcia indietro sulla transizione green di Joe Biden. Il presidente ha concesso una immediata deroga a 47 compagnie che operano miniere di carbone e ha ordinato al segretario per l'energia di salvare dalla chiusura una centrale a carbone in Arizona. Il tycoon ha cantato le lodi del "carbone pulito e bello" e ha affermato che il suo provvedimento ridurrà le normative sul carbone, accelererà le licenze per la sua estrazione nei terreni federali e fornirà garanzie legali per impedire alle future amministrazioni di invertire la rotta.
