SHENDI, 21 MAR - In Sudan il portavoce dell'esercito regolare ha affermato che i militari hanno riconquistato il palazzo presidenziale, sottraendolo ai paramilitari ribelli delle Forze di rapido intervento, dopo una violenta battaglia. "Le nostre forze hanno completamente distrutto i combattenti e l'equipaggiamento del nemico e sequestrato grandi quantità di equipaggiamento e armi", ha affermato il portavoce, Nabil Abdallah, in una dichiarazione trasmessa dalla televisione di stato.
