TEL AVIV, 23 APR - Il ministro degli Interni della Giordania, Mazen Al-Faraya, ha annunciato oggi il divieto di attività del movimento dei Fratelli Musulmani all'interno del Regno hascemita. La decisione è stata presa in seguito allo smantellamento di una rete terroristica in Giordania, nella cui disponibilità sono stati trovati esplosivi e missili. "È stato dimostrato che membri dei Fratelli Musulmani sono coinvolti in attività che destabilizzano la Giordania e compromettono la sua sicurezza. Nessuno Stato sovrano può tollerare una cosa del genere. Pertanto, d'ora in poi sarà considerata un'associazione illegale", ha detto il ministro. Il ministro Al-Faraya ha reso noto in conferenza stampa che Amman ha deciso "di confiscare i beni dei Fratelli Musulmani, chiudere i loro uffici e vietare qualsiasi attività a loro nome, politica, sociale o economica". "La Giordania mette al primo posto la sicurezza dei suoi cittadini, e agiremo con fermezza contro chiunque tenti di comprometterla", ha aggiunto.
