Francescani Aleppo, respingiamo violenze, riaperta la mensa

CITTÀ DEL VATICANO, 02 DIC - "Noi francescani respingiamo ogni violenza e, come tutti sanno, la nostra missione ha un carattere solo umanitario". Lo dice padre Bahjat Karakach, responsabile dei francescani di Aleppo, dopo il bombardamento al Terra Santa College. Per questo "i frati del Collegio sono tornati in campo, proprio lì, per far funzionare il panificio". "Anche qui, al centro della città, la nostra mensa per i poveri ha ripreso il suo lavoro, distribuendo più di mille pasti". "In città - prosegue il responsabile dei francescani nella città siriana - la situazione è tesa, soprattutto dopo un altro bombardamento aereo che c'è stato stamattina in una zona vicina". "Comincia a comparire li problema delle sepolture dei morti, perché la zona dei cimiteri è diventata pericolosa", riferisce il francescano.
