Carceri speciali per i 2.229 arrestati in proteste in Venezuela

CARACAS, 07 AGO - Il presidente venezuelano Nicolás Maduro ha informato che le 2.229 persone finora arrestate nel corso della repressione delle proteste sociali che attraversano il Paese saranno destinati a carceri speciali. "I penitenziari di Tocorón e Tocuyito sono stati svuotati a settembre e ottobre dello scorso anno e attrezzate per ospitare i terroristi", ha detto Maduro in un intervento alla televisione di Stato. Il bilancio del governo riferisce di due morti e almeno 106 feriti tra agenti di polizia e membri delle forze armate nel corso degli contri di piazza iniziati il 28 luglio dopo la contestata proclamazione senza prove della rielezione di Maduro.
