A Gaza la popolazione sta festeggiando il cessate il fuoco offrendo dolcetti per strada, molti «in attesa del momento di poter tornare al nord per vedere in che condizioni sono le loro case», riferiscono all'Ansa i residenti della Striscia. La popolazione, dal momento in cui è iniziata la tregua, è corsa nei mercati per procurarsi cibo, dopo che sono stati autorizzati ad entrare nella Striscia più di 250 camion di merci e aiuti umanitari. Le persone dichiarano anche di essere «arrabbiate con Hamas per ciò che ha fatto causando migliaia di morti». 

Secondo Channel 12, la Croce Rossa ha preso in consegna da Hamas i primi tre ostaggi israeliani liberati, le giovani Romi, Doren e Emily.

«Il governo di Israele accoglie con affetto le tre donne liberate. Le loro famiglie sono state informate dalle autorità competenti che sono state rilasciate e sono tornate tra le nostre forze» ha scritto l'ufficio del primo ministro israeliano Benyamin Netanyahu. «Il governo di Israele è impegnato a riportare a casa tutti gli ostaggi e i dispersi. Sono state liberate Romi Gonen (24 anni), Emily Damari (28 anni), Doron Steinbrecher (31 anni). Il governo, insieme a tutte le forze di sicurezza, continuerà a sostenere le donne liberate e le loro famiglie», si legge nella nota.

Al Jazeera ha invece ottenuto un elenco dei nomi dei 90 prigionieri palestinesi che saranno rilasciati oggi come parte del primo scambio con gli ostaggi a Gaza. L'elenco – scrive l'emittente – comprende 69 donne e 21 minori, 76 prigionieri provenienti dalla Cisgiordania e 14 da Gerusalemme Est. Tra i nomi c'è anche quello di Khalida Jarrar, parlamentare palestinese membro di spicco del Fronte Popolare per la Liberazione della Palestina.
