Dopo le cerimonie inaugurali di ieri per la riapertura, riprendono oggi a Notre-Dame le celebrazioni religiose con le prime due messe celebrate nella cattedrale ricostruita e riaperta per la prima volta al pubblico dopo 5 anni di lavori. Dopo i capi di stato e gli invitati eccellenti di ieri, si è ripreso questa mattina alle 10:30 con una "messa inaugurale" celebrata dall'arcivescovo di Parigi, Laurent Ulrich, alla presenza di diversi fra i capi di stato presenti nella capitale francese, fra i quali Emmanuel Macron.

Alla funzione hanno partecipato oltre 100 vescovi della Chiesa di Francia e di tutto il mondo, oltre ad un sacerdote per ognuna delle 106 parrocchie di Parigi e delle 7 chiese cattoliche di rito orientale. La celebrazione, che durerà oltre 2 ore, culminerà nella consacrazione dell'altare, una tappa essenziale per poter poi celebrare la messa. La seconda messa è in programma alle 18:30 e sarà aperta a tutto il pubblico che avrà prenotato, gratuitamente, per accedere. I biglietti disponibili sono andati a ruba all'apertura delle prenotazioni, martedì scorso.

La diocesi di Parigi organizza, per i prossimi giorni, una settimana di «ottave» di Natale, celebrazioni ripetute con 2 messe quotidiane, agli stessi orari di oggi. Venerdì prossimo, nel pomeriggio, farà il suo ritorno nella cattedrale la storica corone di spine di Notre-Dame. Per i visitatori, l'ingresso sarà libero a partire da domani pomeriggio ma su prenotazione. La diocesi si attende fra i 14 e i 15 visitatori all'anno.
