Un fiume arancione di solidarietà. Sono stati più di 1.300 i bresciani che questa mattina hanno invaso le vie del centro storico per la tredicesima edizione della Family walking run, la passeggiata benefica in favore dell'Associazione italiana leucemie, organizzata in contemporanea alla Brescia Art Marathon.

Mamme e papà con i passeggini, bimbi e adolescenti, comitive di ragazzi, anziani e persino gli amici a quattro zampe: nessuno si è lasciato frenare dalla sveglia puntata presto anche di domenica mattina. 

La camminata - 4 km da piazza della Loggia, passando per via San Faustino, la Pallata e con arrivo in piazza Vittoria - ha avuto inizio alle 9.30 e si è conclusa verso le 10.30. La quota di partecipazione, simbolica e solo per gli adulti, era di cinque euro. Il ricavato servirà a finanziare due importanti progetti di Ail Brescia: l'ampliamento del centro di ricerca Ail sulle malattia onco-ematologiche (insieme a Fondazione Cariplo) e il sostegno all'associazione La zebra onlus per dotare l'ospedalino del Civile di una risonanza magnetica ad hoc per la radiologia pediatrica. 

«È un segno importante - ha commentato il presidente di Ail Giuseppe Navoni - per stare vicino a tutte quelle persone, magari ricoverate in ospedale o costrette a stare in casa, che stamattina non hanno potuto godersi il sole e l'inizio della primavera in città».
